As far as adding images that link in your code that's a lot of work. I'm making a layout for a friend right now and i'm having multiple problems with the code just having it do what she wants it to do.

Well I don't know who we both know but the Glomp animated icon *see icon* that I made is from an anime called Tsubasa Chronicle. I'm not as huge a fan of the anime as I am of the manga.

yeah. She is posting as numerous random named lj people. Every time, it is the exact same posting. Once we started blocking her posts, she diverted into replies.

I understand about the not wanting to piss her off, but you have to do what you can to protect your communities from spam.

i didn't see it at all. but since i marked it as spam it was probably deleted automatically. i have it set now that only members can comment as well but i'm gonna keep watching and maybe set the community to moderated posts if it keeps up.

In regards to the trolling at [info]sos_brigade, I think you need to set the community to moderated membership so you can check out the person before allowing them into the community. If they divert to spamming in replies, you may have to make commenting friends only as well.

If you need help with the community, [info]eriolgal has volunteered to be a mod and I'd be willing to do the same.

I really haven't been having that many problems. The comments are set to members only and only memebers can post. Um, all the sex posts delete after a little while because i have it set to spam so it does it without me doing it.

I really don't want to make this community moderated in anyway other than that. I want to make it easy for people to join and I have found in the past moderated communities often find checking new members and unmoderated posts to be quite difficult and time consuming. The problem with that is if I do gain more moderators and I do make the communitiy so that posts only show up after being moderated the emails will still go to me anyway. Um but if you two would like to help get back to me in this comment and i'll let you help out still.

Mainly i've just been pretty sick this last week or so and everytime someone tells me of the spam I never even see it b/c it's deleted before i ever read it.

Ah! In that case it sounds like you have everything under control. The spam filter must take a while to delete thing then.

If you have everything under control than I suppose the best thing for the community to do is to ignore the spam until they're eventually deleted. Thank you for your time.

I'm going to go ahead and try to contact LJ Abuse (I don't know if they will allow me to do so, though, as I'm not a community maintainer.) If you get this before they do, you might want to delete the post.

Thanks for all the work you put into [info]sos_brigade (and if you ever decide you want a co-mod, I'd be more than happy to volunteer!).

You should probably be glad you didn't see the post, it contained a really graphic picture that involved both rape and pedophelia. It was pretty disturbing so LJ Abuse removed it FAST. Anyway...

I'd love to co-Mod. :D I'm on LJ a lot, and I'd absolutely love to help out. (Good luck with the job search and have fun graduating!)

Don't worry about it. Egads! I certainly hope you're doing better. Hospitals are no fun. :/

Hopefully my presence will be an asset to the community. (At the very least, I'll be around to stop some of that stupid spamming.) Would you mind if I made a post about in the community? Hello

I'm sorry if this seems like an odd request but I didn't fancy the idea of just stomping into your lovely community and posting all willy nilly.

I just created a TMoHS fanfiction community and I was wondering if it was ok to post an advert for it on your community. I was a little bit miffed at the lack of any real fanfic archive for the series, so I'm trying to fix that. Slowly but surely.

And I have another request, would it be possible to affliate the two communities? The more the merrier, yes?
