Today and a Recap of my New Years Eve

I went out with my friend Brooke today. We went to Park Ave. where she bought this ridiculusly expensive dog leash for her dog. It was $25 for a normal leash. We did some lite shopping and I bought some prezzies for some people who have birthdays comming up. Why were so many people born after christmas? Don't they know i'm broke?!

Anyway i've been to busy to tell you all what happened to me on New Years Eve.

The Incident on New Years Eve: Some of you may have heard about the accident on Red Bug Road. Well anyway I had to work from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on New years eve. When I went to go home an accident occured just a few cars ahead of me on the road. I didn't see the accident b/c a big Albertson's truck was in front of me. Anyway when the cops showed up they let the truck go but I got stuck there along with a few other people on the road. The cleard the road on the other side to land two helicopters. The accident happened just one neighborhood away from mine. So I was in walking distance from my house, and mind you had to use the bathroom so bad, but I had to wait. After an hour and a half the helicopters left and they made all the people go over the median and onto the other side of the street. I was so close and yet so far, as I had to go all the way around the accident on the roads. Meanwhile, I was talking on the phone to my dad, who in turn was talking to my neighbor on her cell and she was stuck at Dodd Rd. The police blocked traffic from going on Red Bug past Dodd Rd. So that meant even if I got on the other side I still wouldn't be able to go home. So my dad planned to meet me at Wal Mart Neighborhood Market and we would park my car and we would walk back together. Traffic was horrible b/c everyone was trying to turn around and go that way as well. When I finally got to Dodd Rd my dad called and said that they opened the road. When I finally got home I told my mom my whole story and told her how much I had to pee the whole time. When she told me to go run inside I said "I don't have to go anymore." I know lovely thought huh? Well I figured it would only take me 10 minutes to get home from work. Anyway the whole adventure meant that I didn't get home until 6:20. I saw a lot of things I will never forget: a man in a stretcher with what looked like a missing arm and another person completly covered with a sheet. The News said that there were 3 injured and 1 death.

Nintendo DS shakes bordem in car: I wasn't that bored in the car though. I had just bought that day at Target the new Nintendo DS. Although I didn't have any games I read the manuanl and I could play with it a little b/c it already came fully charged. Anyway the features of the DS are pretty cool, even though it's kinda clunky. It actually can hold two games at the same time: a DS and a GBA. There are two screens, one is touch sensitive. It will have games that are voice activated in the future. You can also use pictochat to talk to people in a chat room via wireless. It looks like you will also be able to download games as well. The DS keeps a record of the date and time. I also forgot that both screens have a backlight. This console tends to play games similar to the Nintendo 64 games.

So that's the way life treated me on New Years Eve, besides me working like a mule at work as well, I just finally had off today. I will be finishing the last two pages of the 2nd Snicket book and will be starting Wicked after that.

That's crazy. Kind of makes you wonder where people's common sense goes when they decide to go out and drive drunk. It's just not worth it.

I played the ds a few weeks ago and was pretty impressed, although I think I'd still rather just buy a pocketpc if I'm spending that kind of money on something. Then again I'm not really much of a gamer anyway.

Happy Belated New Year.

I seriously wonder about people if they were drunk at 4:00 pm.

Yeah, I have every Game Boy except for the GB Pocket. I would save all my money as a kid and wait till the new system came out. And I would always get the first color that came out too. It's kinda become a tradition/collection.

good point.

I've always been a big fan of the gameboy as well. In fact, I think I can safely say it's my favorite gaming system. If I get a ds though I'll wait till it drops in price a bit.
